Thank you for creating this site and All lineman are in my prayers. God please keep an eye out for our lineman!!! I did not know there was such a site. I am so glad to know that there are other wives that know exactly how I feel. My husband is a journeyman lineman with the international brotherhood of electrical workers. He just recently was accepted into the union and we were so so excited! That was definitely am answer to prayer. He has been in line work on and off since he was 17. He and I have been together for 9 years and linework is all we know at this point! We have 2 beautiful children..a 5 year old little girl and a 2 year old little boy. And boy do they miss their daddy!! This past thursday we received some great news......he will be able to come home every night! We were all very excited. It's going to be rather odd every night bc we have gotten so used to him being gone. I'm just so thankful that he is willing to do this just for us!! Gives me hope. My husband has been doing this for 4 years, and with all these crazy storms lately, we have hardly seen him in months. He got home Tuesday from Kansas City, MO just to leave Thursday for Rhode Island. We have two little girls, 4 and 2, and a baby on the way in March!! It is beyond stressful at times!! After all the crying to my friends I needed to do something for myself to get some support from ladies that truely understand this crazy life!! So thankful to have found this site!! He married me my senior year in highschool. We have 2 boys 11 and 8 and they miss him very much when he has to go. He has been gone since yesterday where he overnighted in Richmond Virginia and today he sits in Baltimore Maryland waiting for the storm to hit! My brother and my cousin are there as well and them being gone worries me to death. We were alone for 3 months while they put things together after Ike and with the tornadoes that hit Alabama and Ga in the spring of this year we were alone for 1 month. We spend every week now without him since he the crew was trasferred. We see him only on the weekend and I worry constantly about his safety in this heat. My husband is my hero, I love him more than can be imagined. Scott has achieved the status of Lead Lineman in the last year. I think that his company calls it lead lineman while other companies call it Journeyman Lineman. We have spent several Christmases alone and have been alone for weeks and as stated before sometimes months. I love this site and am thankful there are others out there to support powerlineman's wives. I will be praying for each one of your fellas safety. Thanks for listening!
